Becoming pregnant myself when I was only fifteen, my life was turned upside down. I navigated the road of single motherhood at a very young age and was able to beat the odds. Obtaining my B.S. from Madonna University at age twenty-two came directly after graduating from a teen mom high school program. The support and structure I received from responsible mentors and members of the community enabled my future success. Statistics tell us only 2% of teen mothers obtain a college degree before age thirty.

Being a mom as a teen while maintaining my education was hard work. This is why I am committed to reaching out. I have experienced first hand the better pay and advantages that come from having a four year degree and I believe every young woman should prioritize her education. Eliminating poverty is only one obstacle surrounding young single moms. Educated women who can manage money, as well as their parenting responsibilities, make for a stronger society. This website is dedicated to women world-wide, as a space for awareness and innovation.

    Enjoy.
I am always impressed with a person who goes through a hellish life situation and then turns things around to where they are reaching out to others who are in the same situation. It shows great strength of character and empathy.
Bless you and your work here
    Annie
